1. Prior to 1994 these numbers are best estimates based on all available data
2. The most reliable counts were in effect starting 1994, with implementation of CAMIS placement module in December 1993
3. Note that counts pulled for recent years may change by small amounts over time. Because data are pulled from a live data system that is constantly being updated, the later data are pulled the more complete it will be. OIAA's practice is to wait 60-90 days from the end of a reporting period to publish data, to allow for lags in data entry, so any future changes should be small.
4. Estimates and actuals are of the number of children placed in out-of-home care on the last day of the state fiscal year who are age 0-17 in the placement and care authority of DCYF.
